Workload placement and hybrid TCO analysis (To be announced)
A decision pattern for comparing cloud, on-premises, and hybrid placement using cost, risk, performance, and operating-model criteria.
Workload placement decisions need a wider lens than raw infrastructure price. Security posture, latency, availability, licensing, data gravity, support model, and migration risk all change the answer.
This pattern turns placement into a structured architecture review with comparable criteria and explicit tradeoffs.
The goal is not to make every workload fit one platform, but to make the decision understandable, repeatable, and defensible.
